Hip Hip- Hopkins! ....Art Festival

We relish our weekends. Don't get me wrong, we both love our jobs, but the weekend is OUR time, or as we call it- AR time. (Amberly & Ryan). Now technically its ARL or LAR or RAL time with Lola rolled in there, but you get the point.

We look forward to sleeping in, making pancakes for breakfast and chillin' in our pjs until noon. Usually we try not to schedule anything on the weekends when we know we'll be home, because sometimes its fun to just go where the wind takes us. GASP, did you hear that? They said they don't plan out their weekends? Is this really Ryan and Amberly we're talking about here? Why yes...it is, we take on special alter-egos on the weekends, lazy and relaxed ones at that.

So one weekend, as we were lounging on the couch finishing up the last syrupy bite of pancake, I was reading through the paper and spotted the Hopkins Art Festival. It happened to be going on that weekend and was only a few miles away. Something that is free, and outside on a lovely day definitely piques our interest. So we showered up and headed to Hopkins.

While it was mostly your run of the mill Arts Festival, polka band and all, we had a great time just perusing the different booths. There are some great local photographers, artists and performers in Minnesota, and it was fun to see a lot of them come together for the festival. While we came home empty handed, we sure had a great time!

My take on an artsy shot- I did not have a booth at the art festival.

And Ryan saying, "What are you doing?"
